Come and experience your own piece of heaven at Heaven Can Wait River Retreat. This beautiful property features two homes—an updated, cozy log cabin that sleeps six and a bright, airy pool house that sleeps four.
Start your morning on the expansive wraparound porch of the log cabin, sipping coffee and listening to the birds. Spend the afternoon grilling for your group on the outdoor gas grill or gathering around the firepit to share stories and make memories.
If Mother Nature isn’t cooperating, no big deal—Heaven Can Wait River Retreat offers a spacious rec room complete with a ping pong table, a cozy fireplace, and satellite TV, providing fun and comfort no matter the weather.
After a day on the river or exploring the nearby George Washington National Forest, unwind in the large, bubbling hot tub. Here, you’ll enjoy all the comforts of home while being surrounded by the natural beauty of the Shenandoah River.

Your own private pool (Only available between Memorial Day and Labor Day), a hot tub by the river, ping pong, and 2 separate houses for groups who want privacy while still vacationing together make this one of the most unique and comfortable properties in Luray!

Some other things to note about Heaven Can Wait River Retreat:

- There is about a 5-minute walk between the log cabin and the pool/pool house/hot tub/river. Please see the overhead photo to get an idea of the distance.

- Check-in is at 4 pm, and check-out is at 11 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available, please ask!

- The base rate includes 4 people. Additional guests are an extra fee of $30 per person per night

- Dogs are welcome, but we ask that they only stay in the log cabin and NOT in the pool house. There is a limit of 2, with a pet fee of $100 per dog. The dogs must be over 20 pounds, and we will need a current rabies certificate. Unfortunately, we can't accept cats. Sorry about that!

- There is no trash service in this area. We ask that you please take your trash with you- there is information in the cabin on where to go to take it so that you don't have to take it all the way home with you! Alternatively, housekeeping can remove it for you for a tip of $5 per bag.

- There is a separate security deposit required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions about it- we are happy to answer them!

- Wi-fi is available at the Log Cabin, but due to the satellite provider and the rural area, it may not always be reliable. There is no Wi-Fi or cable at the pool house; however, a DVD library is available for your enjoyment!

- The optional firewood charge of $10/night is for firewood. If you don't think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own, please let us know! We are more than happy to refund that to you.

- PLEASE NOTE for November - March bookings: During these winter months, a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is recommended in case of inclement weather.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. Grace period with free cancellation for 48 hours after booking if arrival is at least 7 days away at time of booking..
